Howdy, I’m Cheylin, founder of Women Out West.

I created WOW.CC as a space where adventurous, wild-hearted women could come together; on horseback, around the campfire, and in the true spirit of the West. Rooted in the rugged beauty of the Central Coast, my life revolves around horses, land stewardship, and a ranch lifestyle that blends Western tradition with a love for the outdoors.

For me, riding has never been just about the trail; it’s about the camaraderie, confidence, and connection that comes with it. Whether I’m leading scenic rides, hosting unforgettable campouts, or simply sharing stories under an open sky, my mission is to build a strong, supportive community where women lift each other up.

Like many of us, I grew up feeling like an outsider. I was bullied, never quite fitting in, never “girly” enough, never “cool” enough. That feeling doesn’t always disappear with age; many women still face exclusion and judgment well into adulthood. That’s why WOW exists, because every woman deserves a place where she is truly seen, valued, and supported, especially by other women.

Horses have long been a symbol of strength, freedom, and resilience, qualities that define the heritage of horsewomen. It’s important to honor that legacy, not just through riding, but by creating a true sisterhood where women can show up as they are, embrace their wild hearts, and celebrate the untamed spirit that connects us all. so welcome to Women Out West, we’re thrilled to have you.
